Route d'Occitanie
The Route d'Occitanie (until 2017 Route du Sud - La Dépêche du Midi ) is a cycling - stage race in southern France.
The cycle race, which takes place annually in June over mostly three stages, was held for the first time in 1977. The program traditionally includes a difficult mountain stage in the Pyrenees, which is why many climbing specialists start there and prepare for the following Tour de France in July. The Route du Sud has been part of the UCI Europe Tour since 2005 and is classified in category 2.1.
