Blu Mankuma

Blu Mankuma (born July 5, 1948 in Seattle , Washington) is an American actor .

Life

The African-American Mankuma was involved in the resistance of the black minority in the USA against oppression and discrimination in his youth . When the Vietnam War broke out in the 1960s , the avowed pacifist Mankuma was in opposition to it and refused to comply with the draft order. Instead, he left the USA, moved to Vancouver / Canada and began his acting career there.

Mankuma became world famous for the role of the slave Jim in the television series The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn . He also worked in numerous television productions, such as B. Nick Knight - The Vampircop , RoboCop and Beast Wars .

In addition to his work as an actor, Mankuma is also a musician . He sings and writes his own songs. Today he lives with his family in Vancouver.
