Roy makes his way through life as a cheater. His latest victim is a film producer . And it is precisely this fraud that is his undoing: the film producer appears at Roy's wedding party with Simmi. The wedding bursts and Simmi separates from Roy. Even when he promises her to be an honest person, he doesn't win her back.

One day, Roy meets Aditya alias Dittu, also a con man who tried to trick him but is seen through by Roy. After a couple of shared experiences, they become friends and Roy teaches Dutti to become a real cheater. And so together they cheat common people.

When visiting a doctor, Dr. Bhalerao found a tumor in Roy's head. He is told that he only has a few months to live. Upon hearing this, Roy decides to do a good deed. Dutti tells him that he wants to take revenge on his father's enemies and Roy decides to help him out of hand. When Simmi finds out about Roy's illness, she returns to him.

After a while the doctor tells him that Roy's tumor can be treated in Alaska . He immediately collects all of his money for the treatment. Soon after, Roy finds out that Chandu, the enemy of Dutti's father, is holding Simmi hostage. With the money that was actually intended for the treatment, he tries to save Simmi.

Chandu lets Simmi go and pushes Roy off the roof, whereupon Roy lands on a large mat. There are a few people standing around the mat asking Roy what film he's shooting for. Roy is confused and tells them that this is not a movie. But he soon realizes that all the places he has been in recently were fake. At the very end he visits Simmi and finds the people he cheated on himself without knowing that he was cheated on by them and that everything was just a bluff. And a film was made out of the bluff in which Roy played the leading role without being noticed. He now realizes that Simmi had betrayed him just to bring him to his senses.

  • The song Right Here Right Now was sung by Abhishek Bachchan , the main actor.
  • Aishwarya Rai and Sanjay Dutt were actually slated to play the lead roles. They are gratefully mentioned in the opening credits.
  • Bluff Master is not a remake of the eponymous film Bluff Master from the year 1963 .
