history
The first written mention comes from the year 1394. The place was originally called Buschgau , around 1408 Poskau , Moravian Borz (k) ow . A predominantly German population lived in Poschkau. According to a census of 1920, the place had 78 houses with 98 tenants and 447 inhabitants (440 Germans, 2 Czechs and 5 foreigners). During the Second World War, the village became part of the German Empire and belonged to the Moravian district of Bärn . After the Second World War, the German population was expelled in 1946. Until 1989, the residents of the village suffered from the presence of the nearby Libavá military training area and the presence of Soviet soldiers. In 1991 Boškov had 109 inhabitants.
Today Boškov consists of 48 houses. Most of them are used as weekend houses. Residents who live there permanently are mostly employed in forestry. There is no infrastructure in the village, no schools, kindergartens, restaurants or shops, and no sewage or gas connections. The settlement Kouty ( Winkelsdorf ) belongs to Boškov .
