Bodo-Knut recently

Bodo-Knut Jüngst (born January 26, 1935 in Waiblingen ; † August 6, 2017 in Mainz ) was a German pediatrician and sports medicine specialist .

Life

Most recently studied medicine from 1953 in Jena and later in Heidelberg . In 1959 he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. After working as an assistant doctor, he was recently a research assistant at the University Children's Hospital in Mainz from 1962 . In 1965 he was involved when the first intensive care unit for children in Germany was set up. After he was appointed specialist in pediatrics in 1966 , he completed his habilitation in medicine in 1971 with the Venia legendi for pediatrics. From 1972 he was senior physician and adjunct professor of paediatrics at the children's clinic of the Mainz University Clinic.

Recently he was a member of the Zaringia Heidelberg regional team .
