With 1,887 inhabitants, Bokel is the second smallest village in the city of Rietberg in the Gütersloh district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The Rietberg localities of Rietberg, Mastholte and Druffel , Langenberg and the Rheda-Wiedenbrücker districts of Batenhorst and Lintel border on Bokel . The village is traversed in the west by the Bokel-Mastholter main canal .
