The Bolberg is 881 m above sea level. NHN high summit on the northern edge of the Swabian Alb .

From Bolberg it is 2 km to Willmandingen in the south, 2.5 km to Undingen in the south- east, 3 km to Genkingen in the east (all three districts of Sonnenbühl ), 3 km to Gönningen ( Reutlingen ) in the north, and 1 km to Öschingen in the north-west , 5 km and to Talheim in the southwest 2 km (both districts of Mössingen ).

The Willmandinger Albvereinshütte , a refuge with a fireplace, is located on the freely accessible summit . When the weather is good, you have a good view, to the south as far as the Alps and to the north as far as the Stuttgart television tower . An orientation board at the vantage point points out the mountains and places in the distance. The village of Sonnenbühl operates the 14 km long Bolberg trail around the mountain, which mostly runs over open terrain.
