Bolesław Łopaciński also Bolesław Łopaciński z Łopacina h. Lubicz ( Lithuanian Balasłaŭ Łapacinski , Russian Баляслаў Лапацінскі ; * July 12, 1832 ; † 1904 ) was a Polish - Lithuanian - Russian historian .

Life

Łopaciński came from the branch of the Mazovian - Polish noble family Łopaciński z Łopacina with the Lubicz coat of arms who immigrated to Lithuania . His parents were Ignacy Łopaciński z Łopacina h. Lubicz, (1798–1845) and Tekla Wołłowicz h. Bogoria (1800-1880). His great-grandfather Mikołaj Tadeusz Łopaciński (1715–1778) was the voivode of Brest Litowsk .

He was a Russian Councilor , since October 24, 1868 honorary member of the "Gremio Religionis" or Knight of Honor of the Order of Malta , Knight of the Spanish Order of Charles III. , Knight's Cross - bearer of the Franz Joseph Order , Knight of the Portuguese Order of Christ , Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy , Knight of the Saxon Order of Albrecht as well as holder of the Red Eagle Order IV class.

In addition, since 1864 he was both a member of the archaeological commission in Vilnius and a corresponding member of the Society for the History and Archeology of the Baltic Provinces of Russia .

Works

His following work on the Duke of Courland was based on the material made available by Count Eustachy Tyszkiewicz (1814–1873) from the private family archive of Count Broel-Plater , which contained the ducal correspondence.
