Boliviana de Aviación , BoA for short , is a state-owned Bolivian airline based in Cochabamba .

history

Boliviana was founded in 2007 by the Evo Morales government as the successor to the insolvent Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano . Since the competing Aerosur had to give up by 2012 and the domestic demand rose sharply, the way was free for a quick and successful expansion of the offer.

In 2014, a regional subsidiary with four Chinese Xi'an MA60s was to be founded (the training of the pilots would have been paid for by Xi'an Aircraft ).

Destinations

Boliviana de Aviación currently operates a large network of domestic routes as well as international routes from Santa Cruz to Madrid (plus connection to Barcelona ), Buenos Aires , Salta , São Paulo , Miami and La Romana . In the future (as of 2018), for example, Venezuela , Cuba and Peru will also be served.
