geography

course

On the southern edge of the hamlet of Wiedenbach in the Tettnang district of Tannau , the Bollenbach flows south with fluctuations. It is reinforced from several sources in the Arlenholz forest and then passes through Obereisenbach . Then it flows straight south through agricultural areas.

After Tannau , a place on the Upper Swabian Baroque Road , it crosses the Bollen forest area . There its course is more original. It continues on its way south, past Wiesertsweiler and through the town of Laimnau , after which it finally flows into the Argen.

With its 9.2 km long run through Tettnang city area, it drains a 31.2 km² catchment area in the young moraine landscape of the Lake Constance basin .

Tributaries

From the source to the mouth, the Bollenbach receives the following tributaries in addition to many unnamed streams:

  • Flockenbach ( left ), right after Tannau
  • Leimenbach ( right ), to Tannau on the northern edge of the Bollen
  • Kreuzweiherbach ( left ), near Wiesertsweiler, with the upper mouth of the Wiesertsweiler Mühlgraben
  • Dobelbach ( right ), in Laimnau
