Bombardier Innovia APM
Bombardier Innovia APM is an automatic, track-bound passenger transport system that was originally developed and offered by Adtranz as the CX-100 for light rail systems and internal airport traffic. It was later further developed by the successor company Bombardier and included in the Innovia series.
The vehicles drive on rubber-tyred wheels on a road; The lateral track guidance is effected by a rail in the middle of the route, next to which two conductor rails run for the power supply of the vehicles.
Most systems are used at airports to connect terminals. Some of these are located in the security area and can therefore only be used by passengers. There are public systems at airports in San Francisco and Frankfurt, among others . Urban installations exist in Guangzhou , Miami and Singapore .
Bombardier offers driverless transport systems under the name Innovia . Bombardier Innovia Metro are called automatic subways like the SkyTrain Vancouver . As Bombardier Innovia Monorail automatic monorails as those Las Vegas Monorail referred.
Versions
The Bombardier Innovia APM system has been (further) developed in several versions.
Adtranz C-100
The Adtranz C-100 system is the predecessor of the Bombardier CX-100, which was later renamed Innovia APM 100. It was developed by Westinghouse Transportation Systems (later AEG-Westinghouse, AEG Transportation, Adtranz, and now Bombardier Transportation). The C-100 was first used at Tampa Airport in 1971 . While the C-100 has been replaced by the CX-100 at most airports, many C-100 vehicles remain in service at Orlando Airport . The Miami-Dade Metromover, an inner-city people mover in Miami, Florida, still uses a fleet of 29 C-100s. The system C-100 is no longer manufactured.
Bombardier CX-100 (Bombardier Innovia APM 100)
The newer CX-100 is able to continue to use most of the existing infrastructure of the C-100, so that an easy upgrade is possible. The system is used, among other things, as SkyLine at Frankfurt Airport , at various airports in North America and on a route of the urban transport system in Singapore and as a Miami-Dade Metromover in Miami, USA.
Bombardier Innovia APM 200
The Innovia APM 200 system is the successor to the Innova APM 100. It was introduced by Bombardier in response to the success of the Mitsubishi Crystal Mover . It was first installed at the Dallas Airport in 2005. There has also been an installation at London Heathrow Airport since 2008 . In 2013, such a system, called the PHX Sky Train , went into operation at Phoenix Airport .
Bombardier Innovia APM 300
The Munich Airport has appointed in November 2011 as the first customer, the system Innovia APM 300th The official opening took place on April 22, 2016. A drive on the almost 400 m long two-lane route takes less than 60 s at a speed of 25 km / h. 90 people can be transported per trip.
Further orders came from the airports in Jeddah and Dubai .
