Bon Air is a city in Talladega County in the US state of Alabama . According to the 2010 census, Bon Air had 116 residents. The place has a total area of 3.4 km².

Bon Air is located in central Alabama in the southern United States. It is located approximately 10 kilometers west of the 1,388 square kilometer Talladega National Forest .
Nearby places include Childersburg (immediately adjacent to the west), Harpersville (6 km northwest), Sylacauga (8 km southeast), Sycamore (10 km east) and Wilsonville (10 km west). The next larger city with 212,000 inhabitants is about 34 kilometers northwest of Birmingham .
history
Bon Air was founded by Danville Spinning Mill , which began operations in 1914. About 70 houses were built at that time. The spinning mill was operated successfully until the 1960s, before more modern methods and techniques became established. The factory was taken over in the late 1970s and closed until the late 1990s.
In 1901 the place was connected to the railway network, in 1908 a post office was opened.

According to the 2000 census , Bon Air had 96 residents, spread across 41 households and 25 families. The population density was 28.1 inhabitants / km². 93.75% of the population were white and 6.25% were African American. Children under the age of 18 lived in 19.5% of households. By the 2010 census , the population had risen to 116.
