Bonaventure is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale de comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .

It is located in the administrative region of Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and consists of 14 subordinate administrative units (three cities, seven municipalities, two cantonal municipalities, a district and a municipality-free area). The MRC was founded on April 8, 1981. The main town is New Carlisle . The population is 17,643 and the area 4382.4 km², which corresponds to a population density of 4.0 inhabitants per km².
