Gaspésie – Îles-de-la-Madeleine is an administrative region ( French région administrative ) in the east of the Canadian province of Québec .

It is further divided into five regional county municipalities ( French municipalités régionales de comté ) and 54 municipalities, reserves and unincorporated areas. The administrative region includes the Gaspésie peninsula and the Magdalene Islands . The administrative seat is in Gaspé .

The population is 93,130 (2011), the land area 20,272.2 km², which corresponds to a population density of 4.6 inhabitants per km². 92.1% of the population speak French and 7.7% speak English as their main language.

Gaspésie – Îles-de-la-Madeleine borders the Gulf of Saint Lawrence to the north, the province of New Brunswick to the south and the Bas-Saint-Laurent administrative region to the west .
