Avignon is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .

It is located in the administrative region of Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and consists of 13 subordinate administrative units (one city, nine municipalities, one canton municipality and two unincorporated areas). The MRC was founded on March 18, 1981. The main town is Nouvelle . The population is 15,037 and the area is 3480.4 km², which corresponds to a population density of 4.3 inhabitants per km².
