Boris Pawlowitsch Gratschow ( Russian Борис Павлович Грачёв , English transcription and FIDE designation Boris Grachev ; born March 27, 1986 in Moscow ) is a Russian chess master .

Life

Grachev learned to play chess at the age of four. He was U10 youth world champion in São Lourenço in 1995. Gratschow won or occupied top places in several tournaments: I.-III. 1st place at the Open in Samara 2002, 1st place at the Russian Cup 04 in Moscow 2002, 1st place at the Russian U-20 Junior Championships in Cheboksary 2006, 1st place at the 1st round tournament in Lublin 2009, 1st place at the Open in Biel 2009, 1st place at the Young GM tournament in Moscow 2011, I.-II. 1st place at the Christmas Open in Zurich 2011 and 1st place at the Hilton Open in Basel 2012.

He played club chess in the German Federal Chess League from 2011 to 2013 for SV Mülheim-Nord , in Croatia he plays for ŠK Rijeka. In Russia he was team champion with SchSM-64 Moscow in 2010 and 2011 , and he also played in Russia for Lada Tolyatti and Politechnik Nizhny Tagil . With SchSM-64 Moscow (since 2013 SchSM-Nasche Nasledije Moscow) he took part in the European Club Cup five times , he reached third place with the team in 2012, in the individual ranking he achieved the best result on the sixth in 2012 and the second best result on the 2014 fourth board. He received the title of International Master in 2002 and has been a Grand Master (GM) since 2007. He met the GM standards in 2004 at the Open in Cappelle-la-Grande , in 2006 at the Russian Team Championship , the Czech Open in Pardubice and at a GM tournament in Vladimir .
