The Bornbach ( Born on older maps ) is a 6 km long brook in Hamburg-Langenhorn .
course
The original source area of the Bornbach lies in the area of Norderstedt in the area of the Glashütte elementary school, but is completely piped in the Norderstedt area, so that the Bornbach rises from a pipe right on the border with Norderstedt today.
In the further course the Bornbach takes up the Pannsgraben and then runs parallel to the east of the underground line 1 at the Kiwittsmoor underground station , where it flows around the Kiwittsmoor outdoor pool and absorbs excess water from it. After the construction of the outdoor pool in 1912, the Bornbach originally flowed through it; today it is fed with groundwater.
To the south of the outdoor pool, the stream crosses under the underground and continues in a south-westerly direction through Langenhorn. To the west of Langenhorn it flows into the Tarpenbek , which immediately afterwards, piped up, passes under Hamburg Airport .
