Boryslaw Mykolaiowytsch Brondukow ( Ukrainian Борислав Миколайович Брондуков , Russian Борислав Николаевич Брондуков / Borislav Nikolayevich Brondukow * 1. March 1938 in the village Dubova , Ukrainian SSR ; † 10. March 2004 , Kiev , Ukraine ) was a Soviet and Ukrainian actor .

Life

Boryslaw Brondukow was born on March 1, 1938 in the village of Dubawa in Kiev Oblast to a Russian father and a Polish mother.

He graduated from the Kiev Vocational School for Construction. At first he worked as a construction foreman, then at the Kiev Arsenal Plant , where he played in the People's Theater . There he was discovered by the rector of the Karpenko-Karyj Theater Institute and invited to his institute.

Boryslaw Brondukov made his film debut in 1962 in the film by Sergei Parajanov , "Zwetok na kamne". In 1968 he received the third diploma of the Union-wide film festival for the tragic role of the thief in the film by Leonid Ossyk, "Kamenny Krest".

Brondukow was mostly known for his episode roles, where he usually appeared as an alcoholic, useless or good-for-nothing, and which seemed very realistic and charming. He became known in the role of the alcoholic Fedul ("Let Afonja do it", 1975), as Inspector Lestrade in the multi-part series " The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson ”(1979–1986) and as a groom (“ The Garage ”(1980)). He liked to turn down leading roles if he didn't like them. Brondukow starred in over 100 films. Over 40 roles of Brondukow were dubbed by other actors.

Brondukov suffered a stroke in 1984 . He later had two heart attacks and one amputation of the hematoma . His last film role was in 1997 in the film "Hippiniada, ili materik ljubwi". After the third stroke in 1997, Brondukov was unable to speak or walk and was cared for by his wife Ekaterina. Boryslaw Brondukow died on March 10, 2004 in Kiev and was buried there in the Baikowe cemetery .
