The Botnfjellet ( Norwegian for Talkesselberg ) is a 2750 m high mountain that forms the northeast and eastern walls of the Livdebotnen valley basin in the Alexander von Humboldt Mountains of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .
He was discovered and photographed during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939) under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . It was mapped using aerial photographs and surveying work during the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
