The Boulevard Murat is a 1,930 meter long and 40 meter wide road in the district Auteuil of the 16th arrondissement of Paris .
location
The boulevard begins at Place de la Porte d'Auteuil or at number 83 on Rue d'Auteuil and ends at Quais Saint-Exupéry and Louis Blériot . He turns northeast in front of Rue du Géneral Niox to Rue Daumier , from here to the banks of the Seine.
The street can be reached by metro via the Saint-Philippe du Roule lines station . In addition, the special line PC drives through the street.

Name origin
The boulevard, which was officially opened on May 23, 1863, was previously part of a broad military street and was named after Joachim Murat (1767–1815), a marshal of France and brother-in-law of Napoleon .
history
The Boulevard Murat is part of the Boulevards des Maréchaux ring road , which was created from 1861 along the former Paris city wall (here the Thiers city fortifications section ) instead of the Rue Militaire . It got its current name on March 2, 1864.
