Boulos Nassif Borkhoche also Paul Victor Borkhoche SMSP (born October 7, 1932 in Joun , Lebanon ) is Old Archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Bosra and Hauran in Syria .

Life

Boulos Nassif Borkhoche comes from an old, well-established family in Joun. He was ordained a priest on September 14, 1960 as a religious priest of the Mission Society of St. Paul .

On June 14, 1983, the Synod of Bishops of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church elected him to succeed Archbishop Nicolas Naaman as Archbishop of Bosra and Hauran. The Patriarch of Antioch Archbishop Maximos V Hakim gave him on July 3, 1983, together with the co-consecrators Archbishop Habib Bacha and Archbishop Joseph-Marie Raya , the episcopal ordination .

In October 2010 he was a participant in the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the Middle East . As co-consecrator he assisted Archbishop Nikolaki Sawaf . On September 15, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
