Nicolas Antiba BA (born December 25, 1945 in Aleppo ) is a Syrian religious and retired Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop of Bosra and Hauran .

Life

Nicolas Antiba joined the religious order of the Basilians of Aleppo , made his profession on March 23, 1964 and was ordained a priest on September 19, 1971 . The Chapter of the Order elected him Superior General in 1989 . He resigned from his office in 1995.

The Synod of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church elected him Archbishop of Bosra and Hauran on June 22, 2012 . This election was confirmed by Pope Francis on May 2, 2013 . The Melkite Patriarch Gregory III. Laham donated him episcopal ordination on August 25, 2013 . Co-consecrators were his predecessor Boulos Nassif Borkhoche and the Apostolic Exarch in Venezuela, Georges Kahhalé Zouhaïraty .
