Brandon Barnes
Brandon Barnes (born October 10, 1978 in Denver ) is an American musician and drummer in the punk band Rise Against . His involvement with Rise Against made him very popular. Since 2000 he has been a drummer on all albums.
Life
When he was nine years old, Barnes got his first drum kit from his grandfather, who was a jazz musician in Chicago . He took music lessons for this instrument between the ages of twelve and seventeen. He also played in a jazz band in his high school. He later studied music at the University of Colorado , where he also played in the music program.
In 1988 Barnes formed the band Pinhead Circus . This released two albums before disbanding in 2000, shortly after Barnes became the drummer of Rise Against . Since then, Barnes has been a permanent member of Rise Against and played drums on all seven LPs.
He lives in Morrison, Colorado with his wife Tora, daughter Stella, and son Liam.
style
Barnes is known, among other things, for his fast playing style, which is characteristic of the music of Rise Against. Some examples of this are the songs Boy's no Good and Heaven Knows .
