Siren Song of the Counter Culture is the third studio album by the American hardcore punk band Rise Against . It was also the band's first album on a major label . The album was released in the UK on August 9, 2004, in the US on August 10, 2004 and in Germany on August 17, 2004. The album reached number 136 on the Billboard charts (USA) and number 1 on the Heatseekers Albums.

Emergence

The album was recorded in 2004 at the two Canadian studios The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver and Plumper Mountain Sound in Gibsons . Both studios are located in the Canadian province of British Columbia .

Since Siren Song of the Counter Culture was the band's first album on a major label , it differs significantly from the band's previous albums in terms of production, as it was designed much more elaborately than Revolutions per minute .
