career

Spearman grew up in Chicago and played at Hales Franciscan High School and Simeon High School. At Simeon he acted on the side of the later NBA star Jabari Parker . Spearman spent his college years at three different universities: one year each at the University of Dayton and one year at Indian Hills Community College, and the last two seasons at the University of Hawaii .

He left university in spring 2014, completed trial training at the NBA club Indiana Pacers and played in summer leagues in the USA. His plan to be taken by a team in the draft of the NBA Development League did not work out. In January 2015 Spearman went to Germany and signed with SC Rist Wedel in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . With Wedel he made it into the ProB final series, Spearman scored 17.1 points and an average of 4.9 rebounds in 18 missions for the North Germans.

For the 2015/16 season he was signed by the Gladiators Trier from the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . He advanced to the semi-finals of the championship round with Trier and was the team's second-best scorer over the course of the season with 12.4 points per game.

In the 2016/17 season, Spearman led the Moselaner as the best thrower with an average of 15.8 points per game. With the team he was eliminated in the playoff quarterfinals. He then made the leap to the basketball league : In preparation for the 2017/18 season, he initially took part in the training operations of the first division club Science City Jena on a trial basis and was then taken on under contract in mid-September 2017. By the end of January 2018, he was used for the Thuringians in 17 Bundesliga games and scored an average of 7.2 points per match. On January 25, 2018, the contract between Spearman and Jena was terminated and he switched to the Czech first division club BK JIP Pardubice . With Pardubice he reached the playoff semi-finals and scored an average of 17.2 points in 26 missions for the team. After the end of the season he moved to the Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B, the second French league, to Orléans Loiret Basket . There he made 33 main round appearances (13.2 points / game) in the course of the 2018/19 game year, played six matches in the championship round (7.7 points / game) and made it to the first with the team League.

At the end of July 2019, Spearman was signed by the Egyptian club Al Gezira from Cairo . Karhubasket Kauhajoki became his next employer from autumn 2020.
