Branko Kokir (born August 28, 1974 in Karlovac , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian handball player . His body length is 1.92 m.

Kokir, who last played for the German club TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke and played for the Serbian national team, was mostly used on the back center .

Branko Kokir made his debut for Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian first division. In 2000 he then moved to SG Willstätt / Schutterwald in the German handball league . With the SG, he managed to stay in the league twice. In 2003, however, the team was relegated and Kokir moved to the Grasshopper Club Zurich . After two years in Switzerland, Kokir returned to Germany, where he joined HSV Hamburg . There he won the DHB Cup , but was only a reserve player for most of the time, so that in 2006 he hired the TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke . There he managed to stay in the 2006/07 season again; In 2008, however, he could not prevent the decline of the East Westphalia.

Despite being born in Croatia, Branko Kokir has made over 90 international appearances for the Serbian national team. At the men's handball world championship in 1999 he won the bronze medal with Serbia as well as at the 2001 men's handball world championship .

Branko Kokir has been a youth trainer at TuS Gehlenbeck since March 2010. Kokir also plays basketball at TuS Lübbecke, with whom he won the 2010 Summer Cup.
