The Brassus is a small stream in the Swiss canton of Vaud and in the Jura Mountains . It is a good one kilometer long, southern and orographically right tributary of the Orbe .

Source you Brassus

The Brassus rises at about 1103  m above sea level. M. a karst spring , in a small side of the Joux Valley , south of the to Le Chenit belonging hamlet of Le Brassus . The source was set in concrete for the drinking water supply .

Shortly after its origin, the Brassus takes up a small stream from the left, runs northwest, reaches the town of Le Brassus and finally flows into the Orbe from the right at an altitude of 1015  m .

Catchment area

The Brassus drains into the North Sea via Orbe, Zihl , Zihl Canal , Aare and Rhine .
