The Rittmayer Brewery is a brewery in the Upper Franconian community of Hallerndorf . The annual output is 35,000 hectoliters.
history
The Rittmayer brewery is one of the oldest breweries in the Forchheim district . As early as 1422 the family Rittmayer by Margrave Frederick IV. Of Kulmbach-Ansbach was the brewing rights conferred, which the brewery in 2007 it celebrated 585 years of existence.

Cellars

Types of beer
The Rittmayer brewery currently has 12 types of beer in its range, two of which ( bock beer , winter wheat) are only offered seasonally. One type of beer that is characteristic of the Franconian region is the cellar beer, which is brewed with the help of dark malt . In 2007 the beers “Rauchbier” and “Leichtes Landbier” were awarded the gold medal of the European Beer Star Awards. In addition, the St. Erhard beer, based on a business idea by the young Bamberg entrepreneur Christian Klemenz, is produced in the brewery, which is bottled in special white glass bottles with the label and delivered to India .
All types of beer are bottled in a modern bottling center , which was inaugurated in 2000 , just outside the community.
