Breakaway (Christmas Rush) is an American action film from 2002 . Directed by Charles Robert Carner , who also wrote the script.

action

Scalzetti is released from prison. His child is to be operated on, for which Scalzetti needs money. He and his accomplices want to rob a mall.

The police officer Cornelius Morgan is suspended from duty for using the gun unnecessarily. He is supposed to pick up his wife Cat, who works in the shopping mall, on Christmas Day after work. Cornelius gets to the robbers and thwarted the robbery attempt. The gang holed up in the shopping arcade and took the people there hostage. The policeman fights the robbers single-handedly.

The lexicon of international film wrote that the film was a " renewed" Die Hard "-Plagiat " which " conventional on wide paths beaten Action will walk."

The magazine TV direkt 25/2007 wrote that the film was a " partly successful die-slow variation ".
