Vegetative characteristics
The Breitblättrige Siebenstern is a perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 10 to 25 centimeters. Subterranean runners are formed. There are no to three linear-awl stem-like leaves under the terminal leaves .
Generative characteristics
The flowering period extends from May to July. The flowers are radial symmetry with a double flower envelope . The petals are light to dark pink, rarely white.
Occurrence
The broad-leaved seven-star occurs in western North America in prairies and forests such as yellow pine forests and redwood forests .

The broad-leaved seven-star is rarely used as an ornamental plant for heather beds and (coniferous) wood edges.
