The Breitenbrink is a 287 m high mountain in the Wiehengebirge in the Minden-Lübbecke district on the border between the city of Lübbecke and the municipality of Hüllhorst , with the summit area clearly in the area of the municipality of Hüllhorst; the border to the city of Lübbecke runs around 200 meters north. The Breitenbrink is only 500 meters north of the northern edge of the village of Beendorf, a village in the district of Oberbauerschaft , a district of the municipality of Hüllhorst. The Breitenbrink is thus the highest point in the Oberbauerschaft district.
Like almost all mountains in the Wiehengebirge, the Breitenbrink has an elongated ridge peak ( Egge ) and is only separated from the peaks to the west by Dören . Significantly, the entire Wiehengebirge section between Lübbecke and Neue Mühle even bears the name Die Egge . Therefore, the mountain is only partially perceived as a prominent peak. The Wittekindsweg runs over the summit of the Breitenbrink .
From Beendorf, the mountain can be hiked on a short but steep ascent in 20 minutes.
