Career

Doran started in the Continental Cup (COC) from 1994 . He achieved good performance right from the start and was then nominated for the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay . There Doran jumped 50th on the normal hill and 55th on the large hill. A year later, on February 17, 1996, he started in the ski jumping World Cup for the first time after continuing to perform well in the Continental Cup . In the two competitions in Iron Mountain , however, he fell short of expectations and only achieved 37th and 47th place. Four weeks later, he won his first World Cup points in Oslo with 11th place.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in 1988 , Doran jumped 52nd on the normal hill and 58th on the large hill.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein and the other World Cup competitions the following season, he was largely unsuccessful. He was also unsuccessful in the Continental Cup. On January 19, 2001, Doran reached 8th place in Park City, the best placement of his career in the World Cup. A day later he jumped his last World Cup.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , Doran dropped out of the qualification when jumping on the large hill and reached 44th place on the normal hill.

He jumped in the Continental Cup until the end of the 2001/02 season and then ended his active ski jumping career at the age of only 23.
