The Brenne is a river in France that runs in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises in the municipality of Miéry , first drains west to northwest, then swings to the southwest and flows into the Seille as a right tributary after 54 kilometers at Visargent , in the municipality of Sens-sur- Seille . On its way, the Brenne crosses the Bresse landscape, rich in lakes, in the Jura and Saône-et-Loire departments .
