Brian Bromley

Brian Bromley (born March 20, 1946 in Burnley , † March 9, 2012 in Southampton ) was an English football player .

Athletic career

Bromley began his career with the Bolton Wanderers , with whom he was relegated from the First Division shortly after his debut in 1964 . In November 1968 he moved after 166 championship games in which the midfielder had scored 25 goals, within the Second Division for Portsmouth . In 1972 he moved again within the second division when he joined Brighton & Hove Albion . With the club, however, he rose the following summer as bottom of the table in the third division . There he played half a season before he signed a contract with Reading FC in the Fourth Division in early 1974 . In early 1975 he was briefly loaned to league rivals FC Darlington , before ending his career at Wigan Athletic in non-league football from the summer of that year .

In total, Bromley played 322 league games at the various levels of the Football League , scoring 33 goals.
