Brian Løkken (* 1975 in Denmark ) is a Danish dart player from the British Darts Organization who competes in tournaments under the nickname "Bright Light".

Career

Løkken took part in a professional darts tournament for the first time in 2010. At the then Denmark Open he reached the round of 32. Four years later he participated in the Denmark Masters , where he was also 32nd. In 2015 the Dane played in the German Masters , which was the first major tournament in Løkken's career. However, he was eliminated before the games in the main draw in the round of the last 128. He also took part in a PDC tournament , an event of the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour for the first time, but lost his first match against the Russian Boris Kolzow . Later in the year he also took part in tournaments in the Netherlands, Belgium and Turkey, but did not get past the round of 32 in any of these tournaments. His attempt to obtain eligibility to participate in the BDO World Darts Championship 2016 by participating in a qualifier failed. In the same year Løkken also competed in two other major tournaments of the BDO, the World Masters and the WDF World Cup . His 80th place at the World Masters was his best result in a major to date . At the WDF World Cup he surprisingly threw out the Dutchman Danny Noppert in the first round, but failed in the subsequent round of the last 128. In 2016 Løkken also took part in some darts tournaments such as the German Masters and the World Masters or open tournaments in Latvia and Catalonia part. While he was eliminated early in both major tournaments, he reached the quarter-finals at the tournaments in Latvia and Catalonia. At the FCD Anniversary Open he made it to the semi-finals for the first time, in which he had to admit defeat to Willem Mandigers . However, he again missed a qualification for the next year's World Cup.

At the Gibraltar Open in March 2017, Løkken was able to secure his first tournament victory at a BDO event. In addition, he failed at the German Masters just before moving into the main field in the round of the last 64. However, the World Masters ended, just like the qualification tournament for the BDO World Cup 2018 , disappointing for him after his first round played. Løkken achieved more successful results at the Iceland Open and the Lithuanian Open . In the former, he reached the semifinals, while he moved into the finals in Lithuania and only there was defeated by the favorite Darius Labanauskas .
