The Briande is a river in France that runs in the Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipality of Saires , generally drains in a north-westerly direction and flows into the Dive as a right tributary after around 28 kilometers in the municipality of Saint-Laon , near the hamlet of Chantebrault . For the last 2.5 kilometers, the Briande runs parallel to the dive at a short distance.
