action
A handful of prisoners of war escape from a Nazi camp near Sarajevo. When they met the child Igor, they met a group of resistance fighters. The American pilot Bill Rogers, the Italian infantryman Mario Espozi and the Austrian Blinz, a Wehrmacht deserter, who are carrying a treasure of gold with them, fight their way to freedom with the help of the Yugoslav Vanya, conquering tanks, destroying planes, and defending a nunnery and make the Kociak Bridge impassable. In doing so, they succeed in achieving their goal against the German overwhelming power.
criticism
"Elaborately illustrated, simple-minded and useless war film in the style of the notorious Landserhefte.", Notes the lexicon of the international film Cinema.de, do not give director Lenzi good hair, because he has "shot everything in his career that is cheap and lousy." "A lot of bullets and explosions, unfortunately hardly a plot," sums up the DVD & Video Guide 2005.
Remarks
Numerous archive scenes were integrated into the film. The film's budget was clearly below average. The film was shot in parallel with the Black Panther Command ( Tempi di guerra ).
