Brittnee Shannon Cooper (born February 26, 1988 ) is a former American volleyball player and current coach.
Career
Cooper began her career during her time at Louisiana State University in the local volleyball team, the LSU Tigers .
After graduating in sociology, the middle blocker first played for the Puerto Rican club Llaneras de Toa Baja (2010/11 season), later for the Austrian club SVS Post Schwechat (2011/12 season), before starting the 2012/13 season moved to Rabita Baku . There Brittnee Cooper became Azerbaijani champion together with the club and they made it to the semifinals of the Volleyball Champions League . This game was lost, but the bronze rank was secured in the subsequent game for third place.
After the successful season in Azerbaijan, she moved to Poland to Atom Trefl Sopot , where the middle blocker was under contract for the next two years. In the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, Cooper reached the league runner-up with the club's first team and became the Polish Cup winner in 2015. At the end of the 2015/16 season, the American left the Polish club when her contract expired.
On November 21, 2016, the German champion and cup winner Dresdner SC announced the commitment of Brittnee Cooper until the end of the season. Cooper replaced Gina Mancuso from Dresden , who had helped out due to Eva Hodanová's injury due to injury . With the Dresdner SC team, the middle blocker reached third place in the championship, but was not available to the team even in the decisive play-off games due to an injury. At the beginning of May 2017, Dresdner SC announced that Brittnee Cooper's expiring contract - as well as the contracts of Barbora Purchartová , Lucie Smutná , Jocelynn Birks and Jennifer Cross - would not be extended.
After her contract in Dresden expired, Cooper ended her active career and became an assistant coach for the University of Tulsa volleyball team in August 2017 .
