Lucie Smutná (born April 14, 1991 in Liberec ) is a Czech volleyball player .

Career

society

Smutná began her career at VK TU Liberec and at that time also played for the youth and junior national teams of the Czech Republic. In 2010 she moved to Slavia Prague . She was signed in 2012 by the German Bundesliga club Köpenicker SC . For the 2013/14 season she moved to the Italian league to Foppapedretti Bergamo and for the 2014/15 season to Volley Soverato . In October 2015 Smutná returned to the German Bundesliga and played at USC Münster until the end of the year . In February 2016 she moved to Halkbank Ankara in Turkey .

In the summer of 2016 she returned to the Bundesliga for German champions Dresdner SC , where she was third in the championship standings in the following season. At the beginning of May 2017 it was announced that Lucie Smutná's expiring contract - as well as the contracts of Barbora Purchartová , Jocelynn Birks , Brittnee Cooper and Jennifer Cross - will not be extended. She then moved to France to Pays d'Aix Venelles Volley-Ball and in 2018 to the Romanian club CSM Volei Alba Blaj .

National team

With the Czech national team , she won the Europa League in 2012 .
