Bruce H. Lipton

Bruce Harold Lipton (born October 21, 1944 in Mount Kisco , New York ) is an American developmental biologist and stem cell researcher .

It emerged particularly through the spread of the idea that gene expression can be influenced by a person's environment, attitudes and thoughts.

Life

Lipton earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Long Island University in 1966 and a doctorate in developmental biology from the University of Virginia in 1971. From 1973 he taught anatomy at the University of Wisconsin , later he became a professor of anatomy at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.

From 1987 to 1992 Lipton conducted research at Pennsylvania State University and the Stanford University Medical Research Center . Since 1993 he has lectured at several universities and wrote numerous research reports on the development of muscle cells.

In 2009 he received the Goi Peace Award .
