Bruna Genovese (born September 24, 1976 in Montebelluna ) is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon .

In 1999 she was third in the Venice Marathon . At the 2001 World Athletics Championships , she finished 17th. Shortly afterwards she improved her personal record by almost five minutes in third place in the Tokyo International Women's Marathon with 2:25:35 h.

In 2003 she was fourth in Tokyo and second in the Rome Marathon the following year .

In the 2004 Summer Olympics marathon in Athens , she finished tenth. At the end of the season she won the Tokyo International Women's Marathon.

In 2005 she was third in the Boston and fifth in the New York City Marathon .

A fourth place in Boston in her personal best of 2:25:28 h was followed by a fifth place in the marathon of the European Athletics Championships 2006 in Gothenburg . In 2007 she finished third in the Tokyo Women's Marathon.

Bruna Genovese is 1.61 m tall and weighs 50 kg. She is trained by former Olympic athlete Salvatore Bettiol .
