The Bruner Hill is a 770 m high and snow-covered hill except for rocky outcrops on its north side on the Ruppert coast of the West Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises 13 km southwest of Mount Shirley on the northern flank of the El Sayed Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1972 after Lieutenant Michael G. Bruner, commander of a Lockheed LC-130 Hercules during the operation Deep Freeze in 1970 and 1971.
