history

The company Organo Phon is a German record label, which in 1992 by the organ builder Oberlinger was founded in Windesheim near Bad Kreuznach, one of the oldest German organ building company. In 2006, the company, which was managed by the Society for the Utilization of Ancillary Rights (GVL) and in the commercial register , was taken over by the Berg Konzertdirektion and conceptually restructured . The headquarters of the Organo Phon label is now Dieburg / Hessen.

repertoire

Initially specialized only in the recording of organ works, followed in 1998 with the recording of the Etudes, Op. 10 and Op. 25 by Frédéric Chopin by Grigory Gruzman the first CD with piano music . Orchestra and chamber music recordings as well as klezmer music followed in the years that followed. The focus at Organo Phon is still organ music , with the "Orgel-plus" series focusing on the interplay of the organ with other instruments. Recordings were made in the Mainz Cathedral and the Kaiserdom Frankfurt as well as under the title " Ave Maria " in the Dieburg pilgrimage church . In the meantime, Organo Phon recordings are not only sold through their own online shop, but also via download and streaming platforms worldwide.
