Brunn is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Arbesbach in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

The Rotte is located on the southeastern foothills of the Gemeindebühel ( 852  m above sea level ). In the village there are also the Rotten Scheibenfeld and Stolzenthal, the scattered settlement Kreuzberg and some individual layers.

history

After the founding of the political communities in Lower Austria in the middle of the 19th century, the village and the cadastral community initially belonged to the political community of Pretrobruck .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 42 building areas with 17,020 m² and 9 gardens on 3,036 m² in the cadastral municipality of Brunn , in 1989/1990 there were 42 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 86 and in 2009/2010 there were 55 buildings on 81 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 278 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 248 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 266 hectares and 258 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 251 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 261 hectares. The average soil climate in Brunn is 14.3 (as of 2010).
