Bruno Beeler

Bruno Beeler (born February 27, 1962 in Zug ; legal resident in Arth ) is a Swiss lawyer and politician ( CVP ).

Life and work

Bruno Beeler grew up in a farming family in Goldau . He completed his Matura (1982) at the Kantonsschule Kollegium Schwyz and studied law at the University of Zurich , where he graduated in 1987 and obtained his doctorate in 1998. In 1990 he was admitted to the bar of the Canton of Schwyz and has been running his own law firm in Schwyz since 1997 . He is also a part-time teacher at the agricultural school in Pfäffikon SZ (topics land law and agricultural inheritance law) and co-initiator and board member of the Arth-Goldau childcare association. Beeler is a captain in the Swiss Army . Beeler is married, has four children and lives in Goldau.

Bruno Beeler has been President of CVP Arth-Oberarth-Goldau since 1997 . From 2004 to 2008 he was also Vice President of the CVP of the Canton of Schwyz. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Cantonal Council of Canton Schwyz . There he is a member of the permanent legal and justice commission, member of the permanent supervisory commission for the Schwyzer Kantonalbank , the constitutional commission and various special commissions.

Together with Marco Casanova, he ran for the Council of States in the 2015 elections in the canton of Schwyz , after Reto Wehrli had previously renounced his candidacy. With just under 27.8 percent of the vote, he reached third place, which means he missed the opportunity to enter the federal parliament.
