Bruno Bertagna (born October 12, 1935 in Tiedoli , Parma Province , † October 31, 2013 in Parma ) was an Italian Curia Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Bruno Bertagna received on 23 May 1959, the sacrament of Holy Orders . On 15 December 1990 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Drivastum . He was ordained bishop John Paul II on January 6, 1991 in St. Peter's Basilica ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re , Official in the State Secretariat , and Justin Francis Rigali , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops .

In 1994 Bruno Bertagna was appointed secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legal Texts . On December 18, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . in addition to the general auditor of the Apostolic Chamber . On February 15, 2007 Bertagna was from Benedict XVI. appointed Vice-President of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts and promoted to titular Archbishop pro hac vice .

In 2010 Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for health reasons. Bertagna died in a nursing home in Parma.
