In 1916 he was appointed professor .

Many of Mauder's glass creations can be found in European museums, especially in Munich and Moritzburg Castle near Halle . A total of 38 specialist articles and book chapters come from Mauder. He died in 1948 of complications from fish poisoning. His son was the glass school teacher and painter Walter Mauder from Zwiesel.
