Brynjar Bergmann (born May 2, 1994 ) is an Icelandic ice hockey player who has been under contract with Ísknattleiksfélagið Björninn in the Icelandic ice hockey league since 2016 .

Career

Brynjar Bergmann began his career as a hockey player with the Reykjavík club Ísknattleiksfélagið Björninn , for whom he made his debut in the Icelandic ice hockey league in 2009. In 2012, he and the team won the first championship title in the club's history. A year later he was recognized for the best plus / minus balance in the Icelandic league. Since Björninn has made a second team in the league with Hunar , he has also played there in addition to his commitment for the first team. Only in the 2015/16 season he played for league rivals UMFK Esja .

International

At junior level Bergmann took over for Iceland at the Division III of the U-18 World Cup in 2011 , when he the best plus / minus had footprint of the whole tournament, and Division II of the U-18 World Cup in 2012 and the Division II of the U- 20 World Championships in 2011 , 2013 and 2014 and Division III of the U-20 World Championships in 2012 .

In the men's national team , Brynjar Bergmann played for the first time at the 2013 World Cup in Division II, in which he also played in 2014 and 2015 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang .
