The Budd Coast is a stretch of coast in East Antarctica Wilkesland that extends between the Hatch Islands at 109 ° 16'E and Cape Waldron at 115 ° 33'E. Casey Station is on this stretch of coast .
The coast was discovered in February 1840 as part of the United States Exploring Expedition (1838–1842) led by the American polar explorer Charles Wilkes . Wilkes named her after Lieutenant Thomas Augustus Budd (1813-1862), the ship's captain on the USS Peacock on this expedition.
