The Burbach is an approximately 7 km long, northern and orographically right tributary of the Saar in Saarland . It flows in the area of ​​the Saarbrücken regional association and is the namesake of the Burbach district .

The Burbach has its source in the southern municipality of Riegelsberg , in the Hixberg Forest . It generally flows in a southerly direction, past the Von der Heydt settlement to the west through the Saarkohlenwald , flows through the Burbach forest pond and then crosses under the Burbach district. It reappears at the Gersweiler Bridge and flows into the Saar.
